Plz suggest me some links............
And also some links from where i will get it for fedora core.
hello everybody,
i am working on linux kernel.
I had study kernel2.6.
Can anybody have some good topic to make improvement in linux kernel.
I had already read the linuxsymposium so suggest me some different topics
There exists a port of the Linux 2.6.12 kernel to run under the L4 microkernel architecture, known as L4Linux. Apparently, according to the web site (http://os.inf.tu-dresden.de/L4/LinuxOnL4/) this would appear to be fully functional and binary compatible with the standard Linux kernel.
I was wondering if there is already a distribution based on this kernel, or if anyone plans to make one? If someone knows of anything in this area I would be most pleased if they could let me know.
Hello. I need help and I hope one of you can give me an answer for today.
My mouse is acting weird. When I move it, it only goes from side to side. I don't know how to make work as it was before. Please help me out somebody.
I tried posting to Linux help anonymously, and after writing my post and clicking submit, I got: "Access denied / You are not authorized to access this page." Then, I created an account, and the same thing happened.
I don't see my topic in the forum.
I think probably KernelTrap needs an Open Solaris forum now. For lack of a better option I have put in this article in the "Kerneltrap General" forum.
Today, Sun launches OpenSolaris, the open source operating system. On the website you can look at the OpenSolaris source code, source browser, documentation, bug database, and blogs.
Here is the Project Overview and the Product Roadmap. If you wish to directly browse the kernel sources, find them here.
I'm working for the Software Revolution, and we just finished an automated documentation of the LINUX kernel and its various components (memory-management, IPC, security, etc.) Anyways, the documentation consists of hyperlinked scalable graphics for control flow graphs, structure charts, state machines, action diagrams, data element tables, call charts... the list goes on... The documentation is posted at www.softwarerevolution.com/jeneral/open-source-docs.html.

Good day,
I clicked on the ad banner that, intriquingly, had COREHACKERS word in it.
Here is what I see on front page:
"Three young hackers under investigation for unlawfully accessing personal information on thousands of people..."
It is somewhat strange to see nice articles like one about OpenBSD hackathone and at the same time see such ads. Should we expect "Get the facts" soon?
Hi, for some weeks now i can't post comments. I can write a comment to a topic or other comment and hit [Preview] to preview and correct it, this part works as expected. But when i hit [Post comment], the original content appears, without my comment. No reloading, reposting, etc. helps.
The https://www.kerneltrap.org is not working. The error I get is
"The connection with the server was terminated unexpectedly"
I suppose it is probably one of the issues because of the shift in the hosting.
Kedar.
I have program which is using the iopl() function i cannot excute the program rather than root.
i want to excute the program from local user can any one tell me how to execute this program from local user.
