KernelTrap has been updated to Drupal 6. We're running a fair bit of custom code, so please let me know if you find anything broken or if any of your favorite features are missing. And yes, this upgrade is the first step toward getting regular posts on the website again.

Does anyone still receive e-mail notification from kerneltrap?

Hi Ho!

The e-mail notification from kerneltrap has stopped coming to my inbox since Feb 11, 2009.

Although my notification setting is always on and I have re-saved the setting, no e-mail comes.

Does anyone experience the same?

Thanks.

Best regards,
Eus (FSF member #4445)

Hi,
I am a MacBook Pro 4,1 user and completely blown away by the new 2.6.28. Everything that didn't work quite before seems now to be solved. Still, one suggestion that would make my life (and the one of some fellow-users) more easy regarding the sound driver hda/patch_realtek.c is the line in the following patch:

--- patch_realtek.c~ 2008-12-25 00:26:37.000000000 +0100

It looks like they need to find somebody to maintain the site.

Hi

can a script be run over the messages so that all the appreances of '& gt;' and '& lt' (the space is only added for the forum software) are replaced with ">" and "<" respectively? This makes reading easier. Plus i think that some messages get trunkated, especially if they contain quotes of other mails.

Highlighting Interesting Mailing List Discussions

KernelTrap Changes and News

New functionality has been enabled that allows logged-in users to highlight interesting mailing list discussions. This new feature has been provided out of necessity, as I'm finding myself with insufficient time of late for keeping up with the many mailing lists I track to post articles on KernelTrap. My goal is to inspire you to participate more in the process, occasionally clicking the new up-arrow on mailing list messages that you find interesting and worthy of attention. In the upcoming weeks, improved interfaces will be provided for navigating other people's votes, and for filtering on only the mailing lists you're interested in. Future KernelTrap stories and quotes will be selected from those that are highlighted by this voting process.

I just tried to post the following as a comment to "Kernel Release Numbering Redux"

It was rejected by your spam filter. I wonder why.
