Need help cross-compiling MIG

Hi everybody,

I am very interested in exploring Hurd. I installed it from a tarball and
played with it for a while. Might sound like a stupid idea, but I would
really like to compile "my own" Hurd [that's how I started with Linux].
Specifically, I want to cross-build Hurd from Linux. I found Thomas
Schwinge's cross-compilation scripts ["cross-gnu" and "cross-gnu-env"].

I found the KernelTrap website via the Drupal site and loved the old look for a site I'm currently developing using Drupal. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get hold of the theme in this link?

Hi, I wrote a simple C program to test the memory allocation for local variables.

#include

int main(int argc, char **argv) {
int x=10;

return 0;
}

But when i try to disassemble the program using gdb, it shows that 16 bytes are being reserved for local variables on the stack, although i declared a single integer variable which is supposed to take only 4 bytes.

When compiling with the -S flag, I need to be able to modify what gets written. As a first step I'd like to be able to just print out "Hello World!" somewhere in the main.s file.
I know I need to modify some gcc code and recompile gcc, but I'm having trouble finding the file that I need to change.
Any help would be great.
Thank you.
