I found this info ever several blogs regarding this problem. It is a really easy fix, with just a little bit of work and patience. I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4014. This should also work on a A100 since they are of the same family.
1) like always with anything that you do when taking your computer apart, take out the battery and unplug it (common sense)

At the same time, in other console I use blktrace with blkparse to monitoring the HD.

Hello,

I'm just reading about these new WD drives (http://www.westerndigital.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=385). It appears they lower power consumption by reducing speed from 7200 to 5400 RPM. Has anybody tried them on linux? Any feedback?

Thx,

Erasmo.

I'm new to git and merging in general, and I'm very humbly bringing a question to the forum that I haven't been able to answer myself. Presented here is a very contrived example reduced from an actual issue I encountered: please the consider directory project containing a single file example. The contents of the file:

$ cat example

goodbye
