App Bombs in CMD Window but Not in Msys

Hello. For some reason my app runs just flawlessly in the msys window but from a windows cmd window I get this:

timecodecalc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I tried a static compile but got the same result.

packet drop

hi,

Am using a client to recieve data packets from a server. For higher bitrate contents, most of the packets are geting dropped which leads to glitches.

What can be the reason for this ?

If you have this problem, try holding and keep holding down the Shift key before and during the bootup process. This worked for me to correct the problem.

Viewing/using the cache of old IDE hard drives...

Is there a way you could remove the control/interface board from a hard drive and be able to view the 256-512K of cache as a "drive", like you would use a RAMdisk? I have several old HD's (200-500Mbytes), I have no real use for anymore (and they're way too slow) ad figure this would be an interesting "hack" to be able to use their tiny cache as a "micro drive", of sorts.

Is there a way to send a udp packet with a fixed source port? Which library function I can call to set a known source port before I send out a udp packet with the sendto()? Thanks.

Philip Charles has released the K16 snapshot of the Debian GNU/Hurd system. This is the 16th update of the K-series Debian GNU/Hurd installer and marks the first major update of Debian GNU/Hurd since the K14 snapshot released in November 2006. The K16 CD series includes a mini-ISO, 4 full CD images, and 2 DVD images. For the first time, a QEMU image based on the mini-ISO is provided as well.
