Hey all,
I'm looking for some fairly technical books on various aspects of Linux. I only have 2 so far:

1) O'Reilly - Understanding the Linux Kernel
- I enjoyed the book, but much of the code-specific text was over my head.
- I got the most value from the higher-level explanation before they went into the code.

2) O'Reilly - Linux systems programming

I was having problems with a larger app I wrote with epoll, so I tried making a smaller app to narrow down the problem. It seems that as soon as I create a socket and add it to epoll, I get the EPOLLHUP and EPOLLOUT event back. I'm expecting the EPOLLOUT event so I know when I can issue a connect(), but the HUP comes back too.

I just found this forum and wanted to take a couple of minutes to tell people about collectl, a tool I've been working on for over 5 years and has been Open Source for about 1-1/2 of them. One of my goals was to have a tool that could replaces just about everything else and I think I've come pretty close as this table shows.
