Fall Quarter, 2003 has kicked off with a bang, or a least a small sputter here at Olympic College. On the menu for me are the following:
So there you have it, my fall quarter line up and run-down. Not too much else to report, I guess. I'm still working hard on the personal HTML project for my main website, and my new finish date is by the end of October. I've written a ton of pages on my naval experience, and while it's been fun to reminiesce, I'm ready to get this done and not think about the damn navy for a bit.
My band, Wicked Asylum, plays this Friday at "City Limits" in Bremerton. Hopefully my bass won't sound like total crap like it did the last time. I need to buy some decent equipment. I've been playing off and on for ten years and I still haven't had good stuff yet. We're supposed to be rehearsing at Angel's house (he's the drummer) tomorrow, but that always turns into a big high school-like drama production because Angel is 21, yet still lives with mom and dad, and can't drive a car. Better yet, he wonders why Winston and I get uptight about shuffling him around everywhere. Overall, he's a pretty decent drummer, but he could stand to bash the skins a bit louder, and getting a driver's license can't hurt! It actually really surprises me that he still can't drive because he bought my Camaro last May exactly to be able to drive!
Well, enough ranting. I guess I've got it better than Whitney for the time being.
Oh wait, one more thing: Thank you, PC Parts and Service (otherwise known as the rathole) for neither testing nor accurately labeling used hard drives! I bought two SCSI drives several months ago and have just now started to use them, to build some LinuxPPC boxes out of old Macs. Sure enough, the "3 gig" drive they labeled is a Seagate ST32151N, and is really 2.15 gigs. But it does seem to be OK, which is more than I can say for the IBM hard disk, which sounds like it's on a seeking frenzy as soon as it spins up! I'm not sure if it works or not; the noise alone made me shut it down before it got done formatting (if it was even formatting). Of course, it's too late now to take the drive back, so I'm screwed. If you want something done right, I guess you have to do it yourself. The thing is, I'm really one of Kareena's biggest fans; she's always pretty nice, and her prices are decent, which is more than I can say for any of the other local stores. It's just that she hires the biggest wankers to staff the store! I swear I never see the same guy for more than a few months at a time there.
Ok, ok, I'll quit ranting now. I hope all of you readers are enjoying yourselves. Don't hesitate to drop some commments.

driver's licence?
pffft....the guy needs a bicycle.
but anyway...
That sucks about the rathole. Hey, at least you have a rathole. I have yet to find one here. The best I have found is this.
No credit? NO PROBLEM! Come on down and we'll not only overcharge you on a shitass computer, we'll rape you with our low-low 69% APR.
Norfolk sucks man.
That p2-350 the rathole sold me is still kicking. 60 bucks well spent.

computer stores
Yeah, why is it that almost no metropolitan areas outside of Seattle seem to have cool computer stores? Thank god for Infotech.
