Well this is my first blog post here (ever, actually [!!]) which makes it very prolix, as i tend to become wordy when i don't know what to say...I'm a 17-year-old college student/kernel-hacker wannabe (Hey! When i started sched.c, i got through 4 pages without help -- i skipped NUMA) and my favorite possession is Understanding The Linux Kernel. Well, almost. My favorite possession is my aging but functional whiteboxed Gentoo-running piece-of-junk computer named alexis (duron 700/512M/20G). Sux. I live nonetheless.
Sometimes i pretend to program stuff, mostly in PHP, C, or C++, but mostly i hang around linux websites wistfully reading kernel-hacker blogs and scowling fiercely at Microsoft stories on slashdot.
Right now i'm setting up a "new" (K6-2 350MHz) box with gentoo for my new router, as the dlink one has terrible wireless range and thus needs to be moved, plus it won't upgrade to the latest firmware, plus it doesn't run linux and i am [trying to be] fanatical about linux. heh. Right.
oh yeah and i have a 3com audrey here waiting to be made into an in-car audio system, waiting for a 3c19250 ethernet adapter (donations, anyone?) and waiting for some ambition. and i really wish someone would figure out how to put linux on it too, for no apparent or logical reason --
if you've read this far you have less of a life than i do...which is quite an accomplishment...you ought to be proud...did i say before i'm too wordy?...and that i like ellipses...
