where did I go?

While perusing Rob Cockerham's 1000 pictures of Ambur exhibit, I realized that no matter who we are or what we do, we find ourselves in the weirdest places. Most of the time, we're doing regular stuff, but sometimes, you find yourself in the auto parts store, and the super liberal vegan hippie chick is their buying motor oil for her Dodge Dart or windshield wipers for her Bug. Or it's me, mister butt-rock El Camino driver, and I'm in a trendy art gallery in Seattle (I *still* get mail from them on occasion), buying an offering cat.

I've been a little heavier in my adult life, and from time to time I've kept a food log to remind me of what I've eaten over the course of a day. The results sometimes are simply surprising.

So, in the same theme, I think I'm going to start blogging where all I went in the course of a day. I think I'll try it for the next week. It'll probably be boring, but what the hell. I think it'd be a good way for me to recap and reflect on the day.

I'll start tonight.

PRK update: PRK is great! About a week and a half ago, I really started to notice that I could see things sharply at night like I never was able to before...even with glasses. City lights, road signs, you name it....I can see it well. I will be gladly writing out $160 checks for the next 17 months (month 1 is already paid)....expensive but one of the better decisions that I have made.

I never really noticed it before...

But PRK seems short for pork, one of our favorite verbs.

I've been lazy with the laptop, but resized my NTFS partition today to 9GB; and made three others for Linux experimentation, plus a 4.5GB partition for "shared data" (read: MP3s.)

I'll get hot on the installs tomorrow I hope.

Glad to hear you've been enjoying seeing more and more, literally. Makes me want to do it, but I think I'll be prevented from getting PRK/LASEK or LASIK for at least six months to a year due to the current medical sitch. Something to look forward to, totally, since you've certainly been a hell of a positive data point. Awesome.

Pork....or pjörk.

Speaking of people whose names end in -jörk, I hear Björk might have used an Akai AX60 (like the one I have) on some of her albums.
