Hi,

My Toshiba satellite A60-122 laptop is locked with bios password. How can I remove the password?

I tried the parallel and USB security key to unlock this laptop. But nothing happened.

Please give me a solution for this.

This is very urgent for me.

Thanks

charles

The earlier a135 bios had this problem, even without a password defined!!!! You need the newest bios update, I believe it's 1.60, you can download it from toshiba's website. It will make a floppy, or bootable cd, or has a windows utility if you can boot. You can press F12 on powerup to select boot device, and use the appropriate device to flash the bios, and the problem should go away.

My machine is doing the same thing. I made the cd, but it won't start up into the F12 menu without the password. Any advice?

Hello. seems like were both having the same problem. all i know is that this is a BIOS password; someone had to set this password before you used your laptop. it is set in the bios configuration screen. Normally on most desktops theres a battery on the motherboard that you can pull out and place back in to refresh the memory. or sometimes you find jumpers that you need to switch back and foward to reset the memory as well. I will try to open my laptop to see if those strategies can fix it. I will keep you updated. If you find anything out let me know as well. Thanks.

I can do it
