It was dicovered that nobody can create a folder named as "con" in windows.
This is something pretty cool...and unbelievable...
Note : This should be through & in windows only.
If any one have solution or reason why it happens , let me also know please.

This is a UNC path (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Naming_Convention). Because these didn't exist under pure DOS, they don't have to be backward compatible (and \\remotehost\drive:\con doesn't make sense anyway, because without having a process on the remote host, there is no current 'console'). It would be a security hazard as well, having the serial and parallel ports accessible for everyone who is allowed to read or write in any single directory.
It works.
It works fine for me. This reminds me of when I created unsupported DOS file names via BASIC, since it called the interrupt to create these files directly with the raw string data. So, the string could be anything that BASIC supported. I did not realize it was a problem until I was messing with my old DOS backups on my Windows machine years later... Windows was not impressed.

I used this command to remove that directory, which I have created by using md\\.\c:\con.
But I am unable to delete this folder now. It is saying that access is denied.

just after creating a folder, u can delete that folder for e.g for creating a folde u must used the command mkdir (Make directory), for removing that folder just use the command called rd. If u want to delete folder name test which is in program files, C:\rd C:\program files\test

We can create a folder with name con, lpt1,com1
I have created a folder in D: with name con using mkdir \\.\d:\con, but the folder is not accessible & cannot be deleted by delete/shift+delete key.
It can be deleted only using rmdir \\.\d:\con
