Job descriptions and summary

Start-up company looking for 1-2 motivated entrepreneurs with ability to perform research and design work from home for 1st 6-12 months of company start-up. This system development will be a:

Wireless network for Short range applications, ad hoc network.
GPS positioning based system
2.4G ISM HW/SW topologies to be used, preferably mesh , 802.15.4, RFID, and Zigbee/ZWave is strongly desired

The two positions we are trying to fill are listed below. One person will be considered for both positions if qualifications can be substantiated. Since this is a start-up venture we are looking for people that will consider contractual deferred payment. Potential ownership rites will be seriously considered as part of the deferral agreement based on background and ability to perform significant portion of design work. Position will require to be a liaison with 3rd party design firm. Both positions report to CTO. Proof of US citizenship and prior work experience a must. Ability to travel outside the US required - for proof of concept testing and pilot builds, length of duration expected to be less than 1 week per visit, US friendly countries.

Software/Firmware Engineer:

Knowledge of customary OS and architectures used in wireless applications
Ability to program at microcode level and embedded
Backgrounds in Java, J2EE, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, .NET, python, perl, PHP

Hardware/RF Engineer:

Prior experience with Patch and PCB antennas as well as other small scale antenna designs
Able to design discrete as well as RFIC based circuits
Knowledge of material penetrations and reflections for 2.4G required

For both positions 10+ years of experience strongly desired but not a must. Knowledge of several chipsets a huge plus. Ability to work weekends and commute to Midwest also a plus.
