hi, this is itojun, the author of the book. thank you very much for very useful comments.

the book was prepared in a strange way:
(1) i wrote up draft in English
(2) it was translated into Japanese and published in Japan
(3) original English draft was used for English version of the book
so the original language of the book is English, not Japanese.

FYI: Traditional Chinese (Taiwanese) version is also available.

Thanks very much for the resp

Thanks very much for the response, clarifying the translation issue, and for writing this book! I found it very useful when I was working with our IPv6 transition at work. Unfortunately the book review module was broken, so there was no link to actually get to the book review. Jeremy is working on fixing this, and the review will be back on the main page shortly.

Japanese/English versions

Hah! I have a copy of the Japanese version, and found it quite useful, even with my limited Japanese language skills. Most of the terms are in katakana, and code is code. I was surprised to see Japanese translations of the RFC documents. That will be a valuable resource to anyone that is a native Japanese speaker.

Well, now that I have the Japanese version, I might as well get the English version to have the "original". :)

Thanks for writing and publishing it.
