Linux

Hi, i'm doing a project for college and I have to implement RAID using linux, I'm not familiar with linux and I have a "how to guide" on how to do this, the guide tells me that I need to use a kernel of 2.4 or greater, so I assumed that 2.6.3 has RAID support, but if someone could verify this fo me that would be great.
Also when I type cat /proc/mdstat it is supposed to tell me if I have the correct personalities I get:
Personalities :
unused devices:
So that would also suggest that RAID is not supported?

Any help would be great, thanks, Dave.

RAID Support in Fedora

Fedora Core 3 certainly has RAID support as the LVM works, and also the 3ware Escalade (S)ATA controllers are supported (and for the folks with lots of money, Emulex cards also work).
