Some kernel problems with ide_detect and vesafb

I have self-compiled 2.6.10 kernel

On on start I get some errors:

1) Sometimes I recieve: "module ide_detect unable to load". I really can't find to what kernel option this module belongs..

2) In kernel log: "vesafb: probe of vesafb0 failed with error -6"

Help me to solve this

And One more:

I disabled in my kernel Appletalk support.

Now, During boot I receive this message:
"atalkd: unable to get interfaces, exiting"

I don't need appletalk, how to disable this stuff?

maybe solutions for 1 & 2

1) maybe you should look into you /etc/modules(.preload)...

2) disable "Drivers -> Graphic Support -> Support for Framebuffer... -> VESA VGA...

vesafb will not work with SIS video chips. So you have to disable vesafb and use sisfb instead. What kind of video your notebook uses ?
