I have a computer with a Giga-byte 8KNXP rev 1.0 mobo.
My IDEl 1 and 2 are full. (160GB HDD, 40GB HDD, dvd+r/rw and cd-rw)
I want to add some harddisks for more storage space.
preferred are two 200GB HDD on IDE3 (and later IDE4), not as RAID or JBOD.
I want to use SATA later in case there will be larger drives availlable for a reasonable price.

Is the 2.6 kernel of FC3 (or later) recognising this chip/controller?
Can he work together with IDE1 and 2, like the SATA ICH5R/Sil3112/IDE1,IDE2?

Is there anyone here who can give an answer to these questions or has experience with this mobo? I would be very thankfull.
