Linux 2.6 - Auto hardware detection and customization according to hardware

Linux 2.6 - Auto hardware detection and customization according to hardware. It would be really nice to have this feature in stock kernel. Script can utilize dmesg output or kudzu output. This will create compact kernel compiled everything in it and the rest as a module.
