Got a call from the shippers about the stuff we're having
shipped across from .uk that we've been waiting on for
the last two months. Aparently, during the custom process,
they xrayed all 120 boxes, and failed to xray 3 of them.
(I joked that I shouldn't have marked them 'drugs', 'bombs' and 'guns'
-- thankfully I'm not too bitter about the whole thing.)
The failure to xray those 3 boxes would in a sensible set
of circumstances cause said customs official to proceed
to manually look through those 3 boxes. For reasons I'm
not quite sure I want to know too much about, they are
going to search /all/ 120 boxes. Madness. We'll be
lucky if we have our stuff back by xmas at this rate,
which causes all sorts of problems for us in the months ahead. Fun.

Got annoyed with the light above my cube. It's irritating.
It's just in my field of vision, and after having had it
there all day, I find myself going home with headaches,
after having spent far too many hours squinting, or
putting my hand to my forehead to shield my eyes.
Lon had removed the bulb from the one above his and
my cube-neighbour Jeff's cube, so I enlisted his help
at sabotaging my light in a similar fashion. It had
a much larger effect than I expected. A not inconsiderably
sized part of the vicinity around my cube is now plunged
into darkness. We've begun calling that part of the
office 'the dark side'.

Bug count looking better.

RHL era: 0 bugs.
FC1: 0 bugs.
FC2: 565 bugs.
FC3: 247 bugs.
rawhide: 8 bugs.

So, nuked all the ancient RHL era bugs. (A bunch of which
were old AS2.1/RHEL3 bugs that were misclassified).
FC2 went down a little, FC3 up quite a bit, rawhide a little
better.

Another interesting query..

Bugs related to ACPI: 58

A large majority of which are related to suspend-to-disk
not working.
