Best patchset for laptops

Hi...

I'm currently using the vanilla kernel for my laptop, a Sony VAIO TR2. I'd like to know if there's any patchset which works best with laptop computers, like Con Koliva's for desktop machines.

Any ideas?

you could give nitro-sources

you could give nitro-sources a try, it's based on CK and it adds several nice things like vesafb-tng, lirc, packet writing, reiser4, ...

the latest release also provides a Software Suspend 2 addon patch which is very handy if you have a laptop

see http://sepi.be/nitro/2.6.9-nitro1/ for the latest release

you need to apply the patch-2.6.9-nitro1.bz2 on the Linux 2.6.9 kernel. Then apply the software-suspend-2.1-for-2.6.9-nitroX.patch.bz2 if you want software suspend 2

good luck!
