Timing belt

I'm about to brave the scorching 79 degree weather to go change the timing belt in Lisa's car. I'd rather do other things, sure, but it does beat working on the car in the rain.

Speaking of cars, on the first tank after installing the K&N air filter in the Honda, my mileage went up two MPG to 35 MPG. That's with the air conditioner going half the time, and I don't exactly drive slowly. Once again, not bad for a 17 year old carbuerated car.

Lisa and I had our second art class yesterday. It was pretty cool. We're learning how to draw by drawing the negative space as opposed to positive shapes. Afterwards, we got some pizza at Apollo's, which Lisa correctly guessed is a Spiro's in different clothing. Having the food served by people that were old enough to vote was a nice touch, however.

Afterwards, we stopped by Rainy Day Records again to check out some fresh vinyl. I think I'm still in awe of seeing a genuine, college record store that looks unchanged from about 1981 and reeks of stale incense, printers ink from fresh albums, and a hint of patchouli. Anyway, I bought the new Stereolab record, Margerine Eclipse. It's goodass. It comes on two LP's. I also bought a great record by Venom. Yes, it has the great song "In League with Satan" on it. Be sure to check out the cover art for a good laugh. I think the guy behind the counter might have thought I was insane for buying Stereolab and Satan-metal together, but (attention record companies) I like them both, so quit trying to type-cast music at certain demographics!
