Why I love my school

They offer classes like this. I'm not quite sure what I'll be taking next quarter, but I'm going to try to work it into the schedule. What would be ideal is if I could do both this and American Sign Language II.

So Whit, did your school require verification of vaccinations? If so, did you get the vaccinations done again or did you just show them your navy records? Evergreen requires that you verify that you've had a measles vaccination, or they require you to sign a waiver that you won't attend school if there is an outbreak. I'm sure the navy vaccinated us against almost everything, but apparently they want a note from a doctor, and I'm not sure if the records alone will be enough. Initially, I got past this by ignoring it, but I've since recieved a note that next quarter's registration will be on hold if I don't get it done.

We had to have proof of vacinations when I was in school too. If you didn't you were put on probation, which usually meant no financial aid.

No matter on the financial aid; as a white male, I'm eligible for about nothing.

Western did this too, but using my service record got me through.

Yes, UT required signed information that you had an MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) at some point in your life. Usually, this is given when you're 13 months old, and again when you're 5. I don't know if the Navy gave us another or not - I couldn't find my shot record.

But since UT needed SIGNED documentation, they wouldn't take a copy of my shot record even if I could have found it.

So what did I do? The university's health services offers a titer - they draw some blood, and do some test to see if you've been given the shot. It cost like 40 bucks - but it worked.

I guess I should mention I was a dependant for my life before I joined the service so my shot record was used all the way from birth to release from indentured servitude.

I'll see what I can do with my service record for proof.
