as stated in the post-halloween-document the support for HighPoint / Promise Fasttrack ATA-RAID controllers hasn't been ported to kernel 2.6 yet.

Is there any source of information to find out about some kind of roadmap for this?

Any idea, if there is some patch or 2.5 module that might be usable for 2.6?
