So this place looks pretty cool. Small blogging community dedicated to operating systems, programming and UNIX in general, eh? Can't go wrong with that!
I stumbled upon this site while googling for some FreeBSD related stuff. I've often tried to get myself blogging. Even went so far as to install Movable Type on my webserver. It seemed though that a blog that doesn't already live in a community is a waste of bandwidth. A site like this may be what I've been looking for.
A little bit about myself. By day I'm a systems administrator for a rather large Canadian Communication Solution Provider (fancy marketing lingo for "Telco/ISP"). On the side I try to keep my coding skills sharpened by developing things mostly in C, C++ and Perl.
Looking forward to exchanging ideas, rants and discussions with you all!
Canada rules!
I've been to Vancouver and Victoria a few times....it's so cool there. Canada is also the only place I've ever seen people hitchhiking and felt like they might not be the next "highway killer."
Indeed
Indeed. Actually I've never been that far out west in this country, but it's high up on my places to travel when I don't want to spend thousands of dollars. Maybe even catch a Canucks game....woo!
