I have black sport shoes with laces that I use daily. One day one of the holes through which the lace makes a loop was torn. So, I had to sew the tear. I bought a black thread used for jeans that should be strong enough and got a tiny needle from my sewing tools so that it could penetrate the shoe easily as well as making many tiny unspotted holes instead of few big ones that would destroy the shoe for sure.

One challenge was directly seen in `01 - The Thread and the Eye.jpg', the thread was too thick for the eye of the needle. After using the traditional method of inserting the thread in vain, a janitor gave me a great hacking tool `02 - The Hack.jpg'. Wow, if only I had known this one before, I would surely have been having easy times everytime I needed to sew something. Well, one needs to learn many things in this life, and that is what free software is good for in the computing world! But, surely this device has been a great aid in the sewing world, I guess.

To use the device, insert the thin wire loop into the eye of the needle. After that, insert the thread through the thin wire loop that comes out of the eye of the needle as shown in `03 - Its Usage.jpg'. Next, just pull the device so as to pull the thin wire loop back again from the eye of the needle that in effect also pulls the thread through the eye of the needle as easy as cake as shown in `04 - After the Pull.jpg'. As a result, with the device, you can always insert thread easily through the eye of a needle as long as the eye is big enough to accommodate the thread compressed thickness (`05 - The Final Result.jpg').

After solving the problem, out of curiosity, I googled for "inserting thread into a needle eye" that returned this good page: http://www.visionaware.org/is_there_an_easy_way_to_thread_a_needle. Well, I should have googled for those keywords since this is a common problem for mankind.
