Hi all,
The 2.6.x kernel seems to have included the i2c/lm_sensors code bases. Things getting clean and proper, except the fact that not all the chips and busses from i2c/lm_sensors 2.8.x have been ported to kernel 2.6..
Does anybody know where to find missing drivers (e.g. the vt1211 used on my EPIA-M MB to probe CPU temp ?).
Does anybody know who is working on this ? Could I help them in any way ?
Have a nice day all dudes,
F.B.
Linux 2.6.0 kernel panic
For whatever reason after following all the directions in the 2.6.0
package, and trying everything obvious, i get a kernel panic when I try to boot the new kernel... most of the messages disappear into screen space ... (above the moniter) and are not to be found in any of the usual places /var/log/(messages, debug, syslog, etc) ...
I suppose we have to wait for 2.6.1 for a patch. the last thing it says before panicing and locking up is some jiberish about having not set the root variable to the boot device /dev/hda1 ...
this appears to refer to the root=/dev/hda? line in lilo.conf; If anyone has any ideas about this please post them ...
