The guys in "Judo for the Blind" were talking about this total butt-rock band they've been seeing and hearing. When they started describing the video to me, I realized immediately that it was the band I saw a few weeks ago on TV and wrote about in this blog. They informed me that the band is called "The Darkness." They're total butt-rock; weird videos, butt rock falsetto singing, and guitars sqealing with false harmonics. By far my favorite parts are the thousands of Marshall amps, guitars falling out of ceilings, and the band fighting some sort of giant squid-like creature by shooting energy beams out of their guitars....it's like it's 1985 all over again.
