read, write char device

Please give the steps for open (), write () and read () on a char device. Creating procedure, file system and mounting that char device to one of /dev/XXX to some /mnt/YYY device.

we can use /dev/mem for open,write, read.
it is availble in all the arch.

See "Linux Device Drivers" by Alessandro Rubini and Jon Corbet. No one has the time necessary to give you that sort of detail in a message board.
