I seem to be running into empty messages fairly often lately (maybe just bad luck to be running into them).
If you need examples, try this Google query:
http://www.google.com/search?num=20&hl=en&client=opera&rls=en&hs=pbr&q=%...
If will also report many normal messages that simply contain the words "empty message" in the body, but if use your browser search function to find the exact text "[Empty message]" on each page of results, you should find many messages that are really empty, starting with the second result page.
empty messages
That turns up some older messages -- there were some bugs in my code causing the occasional empty message that hopefully has been fixed. If you keep finding newer empty messages, please let me know and I'll dig into it some more.
Does late March count as older messages?
Well, I remember seeing some empty ones throughout March, so I tried to dig up some with this query:
http://www.google.com/search?num=20&hl=en&client=opera&rls=en&q=%22%5BEm...
As you can see there are several empty ones with dates in the second half of March, but I don't know if they count as older messages:

Can't remember seeing any in April though.
P.S. Sorry for the late response, I didn't notice you had replied. Is the forum software supposed to notify me by email when someone replies? Because I'm not getting any notifications.
One from yesterday
Here's another one I just stumbled upon, dated yesterday:

Looks like the bug is still present.
