I'm specifically trying to see if paravirt-ops suppport(i.e. Virtual Machine Interface or Xen) is in Redhat 5.1(2.6.18-53el5). I do realize the VMI support went in with 2.6.21 and Xen Hpervisor support by 2.6.22. I also have heard(oh oh, getting dangerous),that Redhat will put 100s of patches on top of whatever kernel base they anchor on. Could they have back ported the paravirt-ops support? Is there a standalone patch available or???

Appears as Redhat is working on hypervisor support and testing on Fedora. Search on "lguest redhat". Based on my research I would say no Redhat 5.1 does not support VMI nor there is a patch.
