Is there any benefits of a kernel using sparse memory on a i386
a) single core, single processor, machine b) multicore, single processor machine c) multiprocessor machine ?
or should one stick to flat memory in all 3?
I only have FLATMEM as a choice for i386, so the question is kinda pointless.
Sparse memory is only useful on x86 if you want memory hotplug, AFAIK.
flatmem..
