There was a mild thunderstorm out by my house tonight. Neil was out visiting. Jamie and Neil urged me to get my camera, so I took yet another stab at getting some lightning photos. Not all of them are in great focus, as I cranked the focus ring back a little bit too far from infinite in an attempt to get the hyperfocal distance right. I won't make that mistake again, but I did get some cool photos. I took them all on my Nikon D70, 200 ASA, 30 second exposure time. The EXIF data should be intact and give you all the details. I'm licensing them Creative Commons, so if you like them, use them.
Wow!
Great shots, man.
Nice angry "spine-eties" on the bolts. Maybe someday I'll get a cool digital SLR like you. Until then, keep up the great work.
I start my new gig at Wyndham today. Time to grok some AIXy, Solarisy, Linuxy shell, shortly.

now if I'd only cleaned the pube off the lens
I don't know what that thing is; a pube, a micro-organism, but damn, it's annoying.
Those are some nice pics,
Those are some nice pics, maybe we can recreate something like that whenever we visit. Senia would love to do something like that!
yeah!
Now that it's starting to cool off; we should get you guys out for a visit!
Nice pics
Very nice pictures. If you don't already have one of these cleaners you might want to pick one up. Nice and cheap, and so extremely effective...
Cleaner

Yeah, I cleaned the lens before I went to Hawaii....no more spots!
Great photos
