Wow, I'm tired

But what do you figure, it's 3am here...

So time for the updates.

  • Lisa, my wife, just started a blog here. Her entry on metric time is pretty amusing.
  • Brian and Greg of Kvasir have decided to kick Mo out of the band, and they're joining up with Winston and I. Greg is shifting from guitar to drums. So, we're all playing together at the Old Town Pub in Silverdale as Slow Goat Riot in a week. It should be a good show; we'll definitely play the Wicked Asylum favorites (including "Wally") and we're going to try to play some of the Kvasir songs too. What I was planning on doing was taking my minidisc recorder and plugging into the outputs from the board, but then I realized that we don't mike the drums for a small venue. So, maybe I'll just do it with a microphone and see how it turns out.
  • It was really nice today; Lisa got the afternoon off because her boss noticed she had been working pretty late earlier in the afternoon. So we went and had lunch, and then stopped by O.C. so I could check into Flash class quickly. She finally registered her car, and we washed it and bought a stereo mounting adaptor for it (Mazdas use a goofy size radio). She's actually taking a liking to the Mazda, and I like it a lot too; it's sort of weird and bubbly shaped, but it has a ton of headroom, and it's pretty comfy. She told me today that last week she took it up to 90+mph just to see what it'd do. It's weird; I hate minivan driving bimbos in town and I'm ready to commit ritual homicide on them, but on the freeway, Lisa breaks every speed limit by 10+mph, and I drive like a granny in my Accord.
  • The deciduous trees are changing colors and dropping leaves. It's pretty cool. I took pictures today around the O.C. campus. I'll try to get them developed soon.

That's about it. Between doing school stuff and practicing like crazy, not much else is going on for me.
