random ramblings

... the shell on the tty is battling xdm for the keyboard. I've tried backgrounding it, running it as a shell, running it from inittab, running it from /etc/rc, and having it start 'startx' instead of 'X'. What am I missing here? Thanks, +JOnas

Taylor uucp config problem

... things, yet uucico says it can't find the system. Also, I must specifically say -Iconfig to uuchk, even though that file is supposed to be the default. Why don't things work like the emacs info docs I have say they do? Thanks, +Jonas

... Brandon We simply linked smail to /bin/mail. Still works great for sending mail, but it doesn't ask for a subject. We just have to remember to put one on the command line. For reading mail we usually use emacs rmail. Works great. +Jonas
