mount & head problems

Hi Linuxers, I've noticed two problems so far with the .97 pl1 root disk. First, the mount -t msdos command doesn't seem to work. I've tried to mount -t /dev/fd1H1440 /mnt as others have suggested (using fd1, or b: drive which is a 1.44 3.5"

linux 0.97 rootimage .1, some problems

Hi linuxers, I got the 0.97.1 root image today, and there are still some unresolved questions I have relating to mount -t msdos on it. I realize that I wasn't able to do it in 0.97. It seems to work all right (at least I can read a 1.44 msdos

Hi Linuxers: I've been playing a bit more with 0.97.1 and have gotten confused with all the different files in the /dev directory. i've read the FAQ and it doesn't seem to help much in my particular case. The basic problem is that my HD (a
