Sorry if I wasn't clear on what I meant. I was refering to the generic case - be

it spoken language, programming language, painting, music, ... If you want very
active involvement of participants then they need to easily grasp the
environment and what others have done before.


In spoken language, however, there is a de facto standard (English). When it comes to C vs. C++, there's always a lot of people that are fluent in one vs. a lot of people that are fluent in the other.
