| LEVAI Daniel | stat(1) -x option shows no setuid/setgid - patch
Hi!
I noticed that executin stat -x on a setuid or setgid file don't display
the setuid/setgid mode in the numeric Mode: field:
$ /usr/bin/stat -x /usr/bin/passwd
File: "/usr/bin/passwd"
Size: 22484 FileType: Regular File
Mode: (0555/-r-sr-xr-x) [...]
^
This patch solves it by removing some format characters:

Is this the best way to deprecate support for the srandom and urandom
devices? The devices themselves are going to stick around for a while,
but we only need to tell people about one, right?

if you are going to leave the MLINKS for srandom and urandom, i think
you should not kill the stuff, and instead say that they are the same as
whatever you've changed it to.
otherwise kill the MLINKS.

Speaking of the entropy pool, it should be difficult for a user to
influence, right? So it's not the greatest idea to allow anyone who opens
the device to feed ioctls with fairly well known parameters and stir the
pot?

did you make nsd-{patch,zonec} drop privs to that user, or did you start them
as the user?
where did you put nsd.db? I guess a subdir of /var/nsd makes more sense than
/var/nsd itself.

I haven't used the nsd-patch (just scp files around instead) and just start
nsd-zonec as that user, but it would be more user-friendly if they were
I used /var/nsd/db.

I think it makes sense to do have a separate user for these, that's how
I think that if we do split users as above, this follows naturally.

Many eyes found several typos, etc. Here's the updated diff I will
probably be committing tomorrow after testing some of the drivers
I do have hardware for. More comments always welcome of course.
