Hi list. I've a little question about pfsync. Supposing to have two
firewall, with 3 nic, one for lan, one for wan and one for DMZ, and
supposing a similar scenario:
firewall 1 firewall 2
WAN: re0 WAN: xl0
LAN: rl0 LAN: rl0
DMZ: rl1 DMZ: rl1
when pfsync send the interface state updates on backup firewall, pfsync
update the table of states for the name of interfaces of first firewall?

Hello,
Thinkpad G40 running -current sometimes freezes completely without any
signs. No network connectivity, no response.. it happens in X and usually
during some interaction (happened twice when moving a window). Not sure how
could I debug it, I don't have a serial cable at the moment. Are there any
other options to trace it ? Thanks in advance, here's my dmesg below:

Dear Misc@,
I have a largeish ( around 10 gb) mail archive stored in a mbox file
and it's starting to get a bit unwieldy to maintain, it's difficult to
search through and etc. With that in mind I was wondering what others
on the list might be doing to maintain their mail archives?
Would I be better off maintaining this in a maildir? If so what are
my options for conversion?
Weather or not I keep it in mbox format or convert it to something
else - what sort of tools are out there to break ...

I have a troublesome DHCP client -- a Brother MFC-9420CN multifunction
centre -- I'd like to troubleshoot. It's being assigned a lease
including IP address and gateway address by dhcpd(8), but not a subnet
mask.

I've an Atheros AR5424, which OpenBSD seems to detect correctly, but
does not really work.
The ath driver is used, and the man pages don't list this model as being
supported, but I though I might ask if there was some fix/etc.

You look at dmesg, and then at your processor manual.
We do not expose these concepts, since there is so much variation
between machines of different architectures (ie. not just i386).

I got the same response, and it's the number of processors, but I
don4t know anything about the cores.
Any idea how to get that info?

if ncpu is the same as how many processors you have, then you have one
core per processor. ncpu is the number of cores total.

Hmm..thanks guys. I am stumped as even with 100K states set in pf, the
box was dying. Dying meaning I couldn't ssh (intermittent) , carp was
failing etc, relayd (intermittent failure on the checks etc).
Using pftop I saw that there was only slight increase in states (around
15-20K - total). As I tried bunch of things which didn't work. When
the traffic was around 8-10K (total) states then the box was responding
perfectly well. I am on 4.7 for amd64. This has now happened around 4 ...
