Hendrickson, Kenneth	Re: Cannot Boot with Intel D201GLY Motherboard This is a very disappointing result!!! :-( I am trying to recover old data from a ccd device, on a Promise hard drive controller card. If I cannot use the Promise HDD controller card, then I cannot recover my data. If I must use another PCI video card, then I will not be able to use the Promise HDD controller card, because my motherboard has only 1 PCI slot. So this will defeat the entire purpose!!!!! If I have to plug in a PCI video card, then the PCI slot will not be available for the Promise PCI hard drive controller. (There is only 1 PCI slot on this motherboard.) The only way I can recover my data is with the Promise card. So this is a very disappointing result. :-( If anybody has any other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks, Kenneth J. Stuart Henderson	Re: Cannot Boot with Intel D201GLY Motherboard some of the Atom boards seem to need APIC; if you want to stick with 4.5 then try the GENERIC.MP kernel (bsd.mp); otherwise try a -current snapshot (where APIC is used in GENERIC as well as GENERIC.MP).	Jul 4, 6:29 pm 2009

journey-man@shaw.ca	IPX/SPX between two locations running OpenBSD I have two locations each using OpenBSD 4.5 for their gateways with the two subnets connected using IPSEC. I have an application that requires IPX/SPX between the two locations. Is this feasible? The two internal subnets are 192.168.0.x and 192.168.1.x but they can easily be changed. enabling IPX in the kernel? PPTP from each workstation to the XP server? bridging the two networks? Dag Richards	Re: IPX/SPX between two locations running OpenBSD A man -k showed me no hits on spx or ipx, at least noe pertaining to networking. You should be able to bridge that traffic. I believe SPX/IPX builds a routing table through broadcasts, so bridging should work. Is this for a Netware network? You know that Netware now supports IP natively.	Jul 4, 5:04 pm 2009

Hi, Recently I encountered a diagnostics issue while trying o connect to an IPV6 capable machine from a machine in a IPV4 only network with SSH. If for some reason the IPV4 connection fails it then tries the IPV6 adress which will expectedly fail. The only diagnostic message shown is the IPV6 reason while the IPV4 failure reason is not shown.
