Which features you show depends on your audience. Don't try to show
advanced PF tricks to a desktop Linux crowd. They just won't get it, and
you'll have hecklers saying "I can do that with ipchains" and such.
Nevermind that it's simpler, more secure and more robust with PF, the
desktop people will go away with the impression that ipchains can do
anything so there's no reason to use OpenBSD/PF.

It's a different story if you get a room full of people who know
ipchains. Then you can have a discussion. And you can have them
understanding the PF rules (not writing, but reading & understanding)
within minutes. Also, there will probably be some people in the audience
using OpenBSD on edge devices in front of their Linux boxes. Get them to
raise their hands, and maybe even say why they use OpenBSD.

If you are going to speak to the university Linux group and your
audience is general users then you should attend as many of their
meetings as possible to learn your audience.

If you are going in blind, then consider doing something very impressive
and fun. Cutting an ethernet cable with an axe to show off CARP comes to
mind. Heck, that's good for all occassions! :)
