I mentioned I was using OpenBSD 4.2 and applied the latest Xenocara patches...

I'm not out of sync.. I'm running OpenBSD 4.2 and I have everything on the errata page applied.. ;)

Yes, I am pissed off that the developers ended that...
They/You arrogantly assumed everyone uses -CURRENT, and security isn't important

to those using -STABLE.

I said VLC doesn't work.. regardless of what I want to play in it.. it crashes upon execution.. with the error in my initial email..
Clearly it's complaining about some sort of memory allocation bug...
And if it worked "before" that errata patch.. It's safe to assume one of the developers screwed up.. ;)
