Or PATA for that matter.

However, since I am only really interested in doing RAID1, really to
prevent a fatal disk crash
heavily impacting the runtime, I can as well use soft RAID.

If I use 'ccd', will I be able to mirror the root partition? Or simply
have only two disks (primary
and a mirror), have a really small root partition, and mount 'ccd'
devices from the fstab ?
Or can I mount root on a 'ccd' ? (don't see how)
