Stuart Henderson wrote:ok, scratch that idea. Are there any csu/dsu units out there that can take the incoming t1 signal and then output directly to an ethernet interface on the obsd box or do they all have to output via v.35 or 8 position cable to a 'standard' router (a'la cisco etc.....) before coming into the openbsd machine? Even a cheap router that could do all of the signal conversion (I'm looking over adtran's site now...... any recommendations) so that i don't need 3 (csu/dsu---router---obsd firewall) machines to terminate the t1. They aren't able to do bgp, as far as I know, as they are getting their connections from completely different isps, don't have an AS number and I'm not sure if this matters or not but the second wan connection is just 256k off of a t1 that provides phone service. That's why I had to play the dns short ttl game. Thus far however it has worked fairly well. Thanks for the replies. Aaron
