Certainly it is a nice work. Both the splash screen and the ability to use a larger VESA framebuffer are useful features. But I want to ask if a mixed solution that gets the best of both worlds (a splash screen and kernel messages when booting) is possible while using the framebuffer. In other words, can we have the large flag in the 2/3 top of the display and kernel messages in the 1/3 bottom of the display? Would it be possible? On another matter, I *really* like the progress bar. Will it be available as an option or has it been replaced with the dots? I understand that usually progress meters do not work as they should, but I think that a progress bar is a fine feature. From the video, I see that progress bar in this feature is more accurate than in other applications (I am thinking on progress bars in the Solaris installation media...). Please, do not drop it if it is not absolutely required! Best regards, Igor.
