Hi I want to run ieee80211.s on an embedded box with madwifi drivers. I wanted to ask if it is possible to integrate mac80211 with madwifi. I see that ath5k and ath9k evolved out of madwifi and have support for mac80211. Could somebody also tell me why the recent releases of madwifi are not inclined to support ieee802.11s? I would also like to know a bit more about dadwifi. Is development still in progress? regards Abhijeet ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sell apps to millions through the Intel(R) Atom(Tm) Developer Program Be part of this innovative community and reach millions of netbook users worldwide. Hi all Does anybody have something to say on this? I really need to get started with this. regards Abhijeet ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net Dev2Dev email is sponsored by: Show off your parallel programming skills. use ath5k! :) - madwifi is not actively developed any more. - dadwifi was an intermediary step in development, long since dead and superseded by ath5k. - ath5k works fine for most recent chipsets. - it's much easier to fix the remaining problems with ath5k than to deal with the messy code in madwifi. sorry, but i really don't see why anyone would still want to do any serious development with anything else than ath5k... ;) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net Dev2Dev email is sponsored by: Show off your parallel programming skills. Hi Bruno As illogical as it might sound the driver I have to use is madwifi. Should I assume that no such development is in progress in open source? regards Abhijeet
i don't know what other people are working on, but i think it's safe to assume that. good luck! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net Dev2Dev email is sponsored by: Show off your parallel programming skills.
