Then I loaded unpatched madwifi trunk, and the card didn't work with it, obviously. Then I loaded the patched madwifi again, and it would not work (HAL error 3). Then I rebooted, and after that the device moved from 05:00.0 to 03:00.0, changed its memory address, and this time, ath_info worked. That's another indicator that ath_info has issues with some PCI busses. Perhaps it should be rewritten as a kernel module to make such issues transparent.
