I've recompiled the kernel with all mouse types enabled, with the mouse IRQ at 2 where it is configured. The configuration of the mouse according to msd is: (This is a bus mouse in an ATI card) Mouse Hardware InPort Mouse Driver Manufacturer Logitech DOS Driver Type InPort Mouse DOS Driver Version 5.00 Microsoft Driver Version 6.02 Mouse IRQ 2 Number of Mouse Buttons 2 Horizontal Sensitivity 50 Mouse to Cursor Ratio 1 : 1 Vertical Sensitivity 50 Mouse to Cursor Ratio 1 : 1 Threshold Speed 53 Mouse Language English Which mouse type should be selected in Xconfig? I've tried pretty much all of them, with no mouse control. Either I boot xwindows without a mouse, or I get a "Device or resource busy", or I get a "Invalid parameter". The logical choice seems to be to use the Logitech mouse type, but that is where I get the message saying some kind of parameter is wrong. What parameters should I have set up? As an alternative, is there a window manager available anywhere which allows mouse movement under cursor controls? Perhaps via the numeric keypad?
