Hmm. I'm afraid that I got my devices all messed up during a
repartition/backup phase. I've mangled the permissions on many of my
files, especially those in /dev (tar respects umask, or so I find out
now). 

Looking through the FAQ, the device list has names and major/minor,
but not permissions. Can anyone point me at a list of permissions, or
at best, an up-to-date MAKEDEV?
