it's depend which scsi card you have:
for example i have a segate st01 ( same for st0X )
i had to change a jumper on the card ( i don't remember
which )
i also saw that there's a thing to do for the adaptec
all this manipulations are in the faq of linux
section scsi
so post an other inews with all the information of
your card ( name, version ...)
i'll look in the faq for your card
and may be someone with the same card will answer
you but he also need the information of card
