A thousand pardons if this is a FAQ, but...
How do I get my 3-button mouse to work as such under linux? (Esp. X?)
The mouse-test program from X says it's a microsloth-compatible mouse, but
that only gives me 2 buttons. I could use 'emulate3buttons' under X, but
why, when I have a 3-button mouse?
'cat /dev/mouse' doesn't give me anything when the middle button is pressed.
Any ideas? It works under ms-dos, but if that's all it's good for, I might as
well get rid of it (which I'd really rather not do). Under messy-u-no-what,
there's a test program that changes it from 2-button (microsloth) to
3-button (pc mouse) mode. Would I have do dig that up, disassemble it, write
a driver, &c, to get my mouse to work?
SLS 1.02, additional info available on request.
One other question that I saw a while ago w/o an answer - has anyone gotten
Xfree86 to work with a Realtek SVGA card? If so, could you send me your
config/patches/drivers/whatever? Many thanx.
And just to be complete, a question that I haven't seen before and seems
rather pointless -
There's a wysiwyg editor for X (don't recall the name, but I think it's on
SLS disk x9) that gives TeX output. Is there a similar program that gives
[ntg]roff output? Or, a program to convert TeX to [ntg]roff?
