I am using a TDC3600 (120MB with 6150 tapes) wich was previuosly mounted
in an IBM AS400. The controller I use is the Adaptec AHA1542B which seems
to be a very good combination, because i had no problems writing to and
reading from tapes. The price for the 1542B is around $300,-- in Germany
without DOS-software !!

Hope this helps.
